LOOKING FOR A PUPPY?

You may probably see a
Westie on every street corner, a small
white
terrier, often with tartan leads giving strength to their origins of
the
Highlands of Scotland.
The Westie is a loveable little scamp and like all puppies is a
great responsibility. Owning a puppy is like having a toddler. There
is a lot of work involved in owning a puppy; house training,
cleaning up after them, chewing anything in sight – the list goes
on.
Anyone wishing to purchase any breed of dog, should seek advice on
the breed in which they are interested from the Breed Club, as what
is thought to be suitable may not be so. Prospective buyers should
also ensure that they go to reputable breeders and these names can
be obtained from the Breed Club Secretary. If you contact the Kennel
Club they will give you the name of the Secretary for your preferred
breed in your area.
You should know as much as you can about the character of the breed
before making your decision.
Just a short message of caution, DO NOT, purchase a
westie puppy from
anyone who wants to meet you at a car park, services or lay –by. You
should always see the puppy in its own environment and with its
mother. Be cautious of vendors who only have a mobile phone contact.
